Director at Large
Melissa Grisales currently works for the County of Santa Barbara as the Assistant Human Resources Director in the Chief Executive/HR Office. She has been with the County since 2006. Before coming to the County, she worked for the City of Santa Paula for over 15 years.
She holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in public administration from University of California, Northridge.
She has been a longtime member of the International Hispanic Network (IHN), International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and Municipal Managers of Southern California (MMASC). She has served on the Program Committee and Public Policy Committee of IHN in 2008/09, as well as a member of the IHN Conference Committee in Oxnard. She is currently co-chairing the Public Policy Committee and is the Network’s representative on the Preparing the Next Generation (PNG) Committee. She was recently asked to present in Mexico City as part of ICMA LatinoAmerica where she represented the County of Santa Barbara. She was appointed to the IHN Board of Directors in November 2009.
Melissa was born and raised in Santa Paula and is a current resident. She is married to Jackson Grisales and has two sons, Jason and Marcus.
